Description
VENT AT SOUTH END OF EAST WING OF LA CASA NUEVA DURING RESTORATION
Color: Brown
A color polaroid photograph of the vent at the south end of the east wing of La Casa Nueva during restoration, 5 March 1979. The vent is at the center with a new coat of plaster, in gray, at the top and awaiting a white outer coat. The wood section around the bottom is all new unpainted wood, but it is not clear if the screening was yet redone. The vent is attached to the wall of the house, which seems to have a strip of gray plaster running from the corner of the vent upward. At upper center above the vent is the south window from Walter Sr.'s bedroom. At the bottom of the artifact is in the insciption in green ink "Screened Vent Repaired with / 1st Coat of Plaster / S. East 3/5/79." In good condition, the object has no evident wear or damage.
