Description

"Ventura Avenue Oil Field, Ventura County, California," published by Associated Oil Company, 1927, revised to 21 December 1930. The map shows an area northwest of downtown Ventura along Ventura Avenue, which leads north to Ojai. Properties are shown with the names of owners, oil companies leasing or owning land, and numbered well sites. Several parcels are leased by the M.K.T. Oil Company, owned by Walter P. Temple, with two showing oil well development, the Percy Brothers and the Foster lease. With many creases, some tears, browning, edge wear, and soiling, the condition is fair.
