Description

Color: Black, green, white A trade catalog of records issued by the Victor Talking Machine Company, 1925. The catalog has a dark green paper cover with the name "Victor / Records" in gold letters at the top; the company seal (now that of R. C. A. or Recording Corporation of America) below that; and the date "1925" in gold letters toward the bottom. On the spine reads, also in gold letters, "Victor Records - 1925." After a two-page description of the format of the catalog, listings of selections are provided in alphabetical order and include classical, novelty, and popular records. In the back on pink paper is a list of artists on the Red Seal label, these consisting of classical music performers. Often included are photographs and portraits of musicians and composers. The cover has surface soiling; dented corners; faded lettering; creases, especially on the back cover; and a loose binding. The first few pages are creased at the lowe right and the rest are generally discolored, so the catalog is in fair condition.
