Description

View of Cawston's Ostrich Farm in South Pasadena, taken by Graham, ca. 1910. A view of a large dirt trodden pen full of adult ostriches. Some have their heads low to the ground while others look up into the distance. Behind them is a large metal and wood contraption consisting of a cylindrical dish attached at an angle to a metal tower. The dish faces up to the sky. On the reverse is a description of the farm touting 100 birds of all ages, written by Edwin Cawston. The item is in good condition with minor surface soiling, darkening, and scratches.
