Waffle iron: Rectangular chrome waffle iron manufactured by Westinghouse in 1921. Iron has a heating unit and a base that are joined together with screws. Heating unit has a large metal handle attached to the lower half of the unit on both sides. Base has four 1 2/4" feet. Back of lower part of heating unit has electrical plug receptor. When waffle iron was cataloged in 1993 a "rectangular tray with curved edged circular pattern" was entered as object "a" and the waffle iron as "b". The tray was not on the 1996 inventory and may be missing. Prior inventories show that "a & b" were accounted for but that may be because the person doing the inventory thought that the waffle iron itself was "a & b" [number on botton of iron read 80.22.1]. All pieces were found during the 1999 inventory. Chrome has some scratches and is slightly tarnished but overall physical condition and appearance is good.
