Description

WALKWAY AND PLANTER IN FRONT OF LA CASA NUEVA BEFORE REPAIR Color: Brown A color polaroid photograph of the walkway and planter at the front of La Casa Nueva, 15 October 1979. The view is to the north with the original pinkish colored pavers of the walkway showing damaged mortar and, in one spot, the paver was removed from its place and is shown lying in the planter. This is at the lower left and consists of a circular area about 2 feet in diameter. Historically, there had been a palm tree planted there and another was planted in restoration. At this time, however, there were only the paver, weeds, and a wooden stake. Although a very small part of the east pillar at the north entrance gate is at the upper left, very little of note is in the image. An inscription in blue ink at the bottom of the artifact reads "Same / Oct 15." With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
