Description

WALKWAY FROM LA CASA NUEVA TO THE TEPEE DURING REPAIRS Color: Brown A copy of a color polaroid photograph of the walkway between La Casaa Nueva and the Tepee during repairs, 25 September 1979. The walkway extends from the upper left at the house's courtyard to the bottom right near the junction with the walk from the West Lawn and that to the Tepee. Most of this section's pavers have been removed and new mortar presumably laid after grading in preparation for the resetting of the pavers. A strip of concrete curbing to widen the walk for wheelchair access was also added to each side. At lower left and upper right are planting areas that are dirt with some wood, brick and other construction debris especially at left. A hose also extends from the courtyard along the walkway. On the reverse in black ink is the inscription "Temple Mansion / Restoration of south / patio walk / photo by archt. 9/25/79." Below this, covered by a piece of tape, is the stamp of restoration architect Raymond Girvigian with his name, address, and telephone number. In good condition, the artifact shows little indication of wear or damage. Number-Units: 1
