"Wallenstein Mayer Annual Catalog, issued by the Wallenstein Mayer Company, 1924. The 793-page artifact has a red hardcover with the date and name of the company at the top of the front. Below the company name is, "WHOLESALE JEWELERS." At the center is the company logo which is a lion on its hind-legs with a diamond in its right paw. The company trademark is within a shield at the left. Across the bottom of the cover is the address. The name of the company and year are on the spine and all of the printing here, and on the cover, is in black. At the front are a note on price changes, two order blanks, a cover page, and general information in Spanish and English. There are a wide variety of jewelry pieces listed within including watches, rings, bracelets, necklaces, pins, and much more. Some items were listed with the Freemasonry symbol. Other items include writing utensils; jewelers' equipment and supplies; merchandise display items; binoculars; tableware; toilet sets; and much more. The merchandise listed were from various manufacturers such as the International Silver Company, Community Plate, Alvin Silver, and more. At the end are hints for jewelers, notes on stones, and an index. There are many black and white and color photographs and illustrations throughout. With abrasions along the spine, dents, soiling; as well as brittleness, and stains and tears on the cover, the object is in overall fair condition.Lexicon
