Description

Color: Black; Brown; White A black and white stereo view of a walnut grove in southern California, ca. 1900. The artifact is of brown cardboard with two side-by-side images on the center of the front. The identical images, which were for viewing through a stereoscope, feature a shady grove of walnut trees that flank a small dirt area. In the dirt are several small ditches which are full of water. At the top between the two images is "P66." Near the bottom right corner is, "P-V26363 Walnut Grove in Southern California." Down the far left is the name of the Keystone View Company with its location down the right side. On the center of the back is a description of the irrigation system used to water the trees. With dents at the corners; slight fading and warping of the cardboard; and a tear at the top right, the object is in fair condition.
