Description

Color: Black; White A black and white reproduction photograph of Laura and Walter Temple, taken by George Steckel, 10 October 1919. Mr. Temple is seated in a tall-back wooden chair and looks down at an open book in his lamp. He wears a light-colored striped suit, white shirt, and light-colored striped tie. Standing to the left with her left arm around her husband's shoulders is Mrs. Temple, looking down also at the open book, and wearing a dark-colored dress that rather blends in with the background. She also has a brooch on the front of her dress and wears a pearl necklace. This is one of several images taken by Steckel of the Temple family that day. On the reverse upper left, in black ink by a former museum curator, is the inscription "Laura and Walter Temple / Source - The Walter Temple Jr. family." With little indication of wear or damage, the object is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
