WALTER AND NELLIE TEMPLE RECEIVING GIFT FROM HARVEY MORRIS
Color: Green; Brown; White
A color photograph of Walter and Nellie Temple receiving a gift from Harvey Morris on the west lawn of La Casa Nueva, ca. 1981. The three stand on the lawn a short distance from the west wall of the house. Mrs. Temple is at left, wearing a teal colored dress, string of pearls and carrying a dark handbag. Mr. Temple stands at center, wearing a white shirt, brown slacks, and tie and holds the gift, a carved wooden saint and case, in both hands. With his right hand at the top of the gift at right is wood carver Harvey Morris, who helped restore the site in the 1970s. Morris wears a white patterned shirt and light-colored pants. On the upper reverse are identities of the three in ink and, at the bottom left is the ink inscription "B3." With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition.
