Color: Black and white
A black and white photograph a) with folio b) of Walter P. Temple, 10 October 1919, taken by George Steckel of Los Angeles. The portrait of Temple is a head-and-torso shot with Temple wearing a striped wool suit with jacket and vest visible--the trousers are the same, as seen in other photos from this session. He wears a white shirt with upturned collar and light-colored striped tie. There is a small pin in his left jacket lapel. Steckel's signature in pencil is on the lower right. The folio is textured paper with Steckel's logo, name, and address on the cover flap. For other images from this session see item 78.1 in this accession and 97.45 (from the Seaver Center, where Steckel's negatives are archived.) The image has a dented corner at the lower right and some discoloration, but is in good condition. With a couple of small stains and an abraded edge, the folio is also in good condition.
