Description
WALTER P. TEMPLE AND AN UNKNOWN WOMAN BY LA CASA NUEVA
Color: Black; White
A black and white reproduction photograph of Walter P. Temple, Sr. and an unknown woman by La Casa Nueva under construction, ca. 1920s. Temple stands at the right and wears eye glasses, a long-sleeved shirt, tie, and dark trousers with suspenders. The woman stands at the left and wears a hat and a long, short-sleeve dress with a necklace and gloves. Her left arm is around Temple and they both look at one another. At the bottom left is a stack of adobe bricks, while a wheelbarrow, that has a hat on the top, is at the right. Part of the home's construction is across the back with unfinished walls, although the exact location is not clear. At the left is a doorway which is incomplete and has a wood frame for an arch at the top. Visible through it are construction materials and wood planks. Written in blue pencil on the top left corner of the back is, "RALPH & CAROL TEMPLE COLLECTION / LCN CONSTRUCTION / WALTER P. TEMPLE (RIGHT)." Negatives to the images in the accession are .2.1-.10. The artifact is in good condition with no signs of wear or damage.
