Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of Walter P. Temple standing on the east side of the courtyard of La Casa Nueva, ca. August 1927. Temple stands leaning on a cane and wearing a light-colored suit, consisting of a jacket, trousers, shirt and tie; and dark-colored shoes and light-colored hat. To his right is one of the portico columns, while behind him is the doorway to one of the rooms, probably his bedroom. Over the doorway is a rectangular-shaped plaque hanging on the wall. Against the wall, from left to right, are a birdcage; wooden chair with sarape draped over the back; and a wicker planter with a plant in it. In the foreground left are some stones, indicating that some construction, perhaps the laying of flagstone, was being done. At foreground right is a shadow of a person. At the upper right of the reverse is the stamped number 700. Aside from very light discoloration the image is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
