Description

WALTER P. TEMPLE MEMORIAL MAUSOLEUM FROM THE SOUTHEAST, CA. 1920S Color: Black; White A negative of the south and east elevations of the Walter P. Temple Memorial Mausoleum from the southeast, ca. 1920s. The view shows the entirety of the elevations, although there is a hedgerow and bushes growing next to the building and there are palm trees in the grass nearer to the photographer that obscure part of the structure, as well. At the right of center is the original stained glass window later destroyed by vandals. In the foreground are grass, shrubs, and several palm trees and the southwest edge of the cast-iron fenced burial plot is at the lower right. At the far left is the sentinel palm planted by the Temples in the heart-shaped planter they built outside the cemetery. Aside from darkened edges, which only intrude slightly onto the image, there are no indications of damage or wear and the condition is good. Number-Units: 1
