Description

WALTER P. TEMPLE NEAR MISSION WALKWAY CONSTRUCTION Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of Walter P. Temple standing next to the Mission Walkway, ca. 1924. At center, Temple wears a dark three-piece suit, with white shirt, light-colored tie, and gray snap-brim cap. He has his right foot resting on a rough tree-limb and his left hand resting on his left thigh with his right hand on his hip. There are several limbs on the ground, while at the right behind Temple are two stacks of half-round adobe bricks, covered at the top. In the background is a portion of the western side of the walkway, which is largely complete. The walls are plastered and crowned with a row of tiles, while the wood trellis for the arbor is intact. None of the grapvines appear to be planted or have not reached high enough to be visible. On the reverse lower right is the stamped number "56" while throughout on the paper is the stamped word "VELOX." Three of the corners are bent and there are several light stains on the photograph, which is in fair condition. Number-Units: 1
