A black and white photograph of Walter P. Temple, Sr. and an unknown woman, ca. 1930s. The pair are at the center on the front stairs of a house with Temple on the left. He stands on the third step but has his right foot up on the edge of the fourth. He wears eye-glasses, a tie, sweater, trousers, and holds a cap in his left hand and a cigar in his right. The woman sits on the concrete baluster next to him and wears a dark dress with a white collar and sleeves. They both look towards another woman standing to the far right, but only part of her long dress is in view. At the left of the foreground is a concrete baluster, and at the left of the background is the front door of the house, porch light, and an arched window. At the right is a pitched-roof bungalow with a porch and a front yard with a small trellis fence. Stamped at the back is the word, "VELOX." The photograph was housed in Agnes Temple's album which is item 96.7.94.1 along with many other photographs which span 96.7.1.1-.93.1. Contact sheets 2000.159.1.1-.8 show the original positioning of the images within the album. With water damage and stains, the artifact is in fair condition.
