Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of Walter P. Temple, ca. 1925. Temple is featured standing in the center of the image with his arms at his sides and facing the camera. He wears seeing glasses, a dark suit, with a light shirt and vest. At his feet can be seen dirt and grass, with some scattered pieces of wood and construction debris. In the back center is the semicircular wood doors on the east side of the living room in La Casa Nueva. The door is raised about a foot off the ground and has wood paneling across the bottom; the panel on the left features a carving with a shield in the center capped by a crown, and surrounded by a vine design. Temple covers the panel on the right and the darkness of the photograph covers the designs of the glass on top. Around the door can be seen a portion of the home's thick adobe walls. With no visible wear or damage, the artifact, which has a corresponding negative in 99.6.10.230, is in good condition. Number-Units: 2
