Description

WALTER TEMPLE AND BUSINESS PARTNERS AT THE WORKMAN HOUSE Color: Black; White A black and white reproduction photograph of Walter P. Temple and business partners Milton Kauffman and George Woodruff at the south side of the Workman House, ca. 1926. This image is a copy-stand made photograph of the original on a neutral background. The group is posed next to the southwestern wing of the home with Kauffman at left, wearing a gray three-piece suit, white shirt, gray tie and dark shoes. Woodruff is in the middle wearing a dark three-piece suit, white shirt and dark tie and shoes. Temple, at right, wears a dark sweater, trousers and shoes (which may be two-tone spats) and a neutral-colored shirt and tie. They stand on a walkway that appears to be made of large cement squares. Behind, to the right, is part of the porch, including one of the posts, but no railing attached to it, though there is a railing behind it that may have been for the basement access. There are also hanging and potted plants and furniture visible on the porch. On the wing, part of the triptych window, with shutters, and the screened vent to the basement are visible. On the reverse is the pencil inscription "Milton Kauffman, George Woodruff, Dad", probably provided, though not written, by Walter P. Temple, Jr. With little indication of wear or damage, the object is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
