Description

WALTER TEMPLE AND GROUP AT MISSION SAN CARLOS BORROMEO Black and white photograph of Walter P. Temple and five other persons, including Agnes Temple and Maude Bassity, at Mission San Carlos Borromeo, spring 1926. Shown is a photographer, possibly Thomas W. Temple II, at left dressed in a dark suit and straw hat with a camera held to his face. A group of six is seen, at right, including Conie Roca at left, Walter Temple next to her in a neutral-colored three-piece suit with white shirt and dark tie and white shoes, Agnes Temple, second from right, in a white dress and hat, and Maud Bassity, partially obscured at back center, in a dark hat, coat, and dress. The other two persons, an older man and woman, may be the elder Rocas, but are not identified or known. Part of the main mission building is seen in the background with some of the bushes, trees, and shrubs around the church seen. Donated by Temple L. Fatjo. In good condition with some edge discoloration. Written in ink on back "At Mission San Carlos/de Monterrey"; Imprint on center back, "Enamelo/May 28, 1926/Print"; Lower back stamped "46" Number-Units: 1
