Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of Walter P. Temple, Sr. and Edgar Temple with two unknown women outside La Casa Nueva, ca. 1920s. The group is in costume and stands at the center on a lawn with one of the women at the far right. She has gray hair and wears a flowered shawl, a dress, heels, and has both hands clasped in front. Walter is next to her and wears a sombrero; eye-glasses; tie; mariachi jacket; sarape over the right shoulder; light-colored slacks; and shoes. He holds a cane in his left hand and looks at Edgar who is at his side. Edgar looks and smiles at the camera while leaning on a cane which he holds in his right hand. He wears a sombrero, short-sleeve shirt, a belt, trousers, and shoes. The woman at the far right has gray hair and wears a white top, flowered shawl, a dress, and heels. Her left arm is under the shawl and in her right hand she holds a sombrero. Across the back is a brick walk, bushes, and to the right is the southwest side of the home with the two windows to the housekeeper's bedroom. At the left of the background are trees, the west lawn, a rose garden, and the top of the Mission Walkway. At the back is a stamp that reads, "'ENAMELO' / AUG 12 1929 / WEBBS." At the bottom left corner is, "VELOX" and "108." The photograph was housed in Agnes Temple's album which is item 96.7.94.1 along with many other photographs which span 96.7.1.1-.93.1.
