Description

"WAR MAN POWER INVENTORY SEEN", LOS ANGELES TIMES (?), 6 NOVEMBER 1942 Color: Black, white "War Man Power Inventory Seen", probably from the Los Angeles Times, 6 November 1942. The article concerned a need for an inventory to determine available manpwer for the war effort. Quotes from members of the War Manpower Commission testified to a lack of manpower. Thomas W. Temple II collected this article as well as items .4 and .5 from this group as part of an application to voluntarily join the Army in an intelligence capacity (see also 96.34 and his research file folder for more on this.) With quarter folds, many creases, especially at the top and bottom, and discoloration, the article is in fair condition.
