Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of a Moorish-style water tower in Avocado Heights, ca. 1980s. The approximately four or five story tower has a six-sided rounded appearance with square openings on the second and arched openings on the third level. At the top are six pointed posts with curved supports between them. In the foreground is a chain link gate with a curved driveway leading toward the tower and a building, probably a house, to the right of the tower. It was a dark day, so some of the plantings in the foreground are heavily shadowed and not easily discernible. On the upper reverse is a pencil inscription by a former museum curator: "Photo by J. A. Walters." Without indication of wear or damage, the object is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
