Description

WATER TOWER UPPER DECK DEMOLITION, BEE HONEYCOMBS AND JOISTS Color: Brown A color polaroid photograph of the Water Tower upper deck being demolished before reconstruction, 30 March 1977. The photographer stood on the upper deck focusing on the deterioration of the joists, which run at angles from the upper part of the photograph to the lower part, left to right. In between several of the joists are honeycombs from bees. Just above center there is a white pipe poking through two joists, but the use for it is not described. At the bottom of the object is an ink inscription reading "Honey Combs Watch Tower / & Deterioration / 4/5/77 of Joists." With little or no indication of wear or damage, the object is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
