Color: Brown
A color polaroid photograph of the reconstruction of the upper deck of the Water Tower, about June 1977 [see .723 for estimated date comparison.] Taken from the southwest, the image shows the entire top section of the tower in reconstruction with basic wood supports in place for the covered deck and the small deck on top of the roof. At this latter point, a worker is crouched at one corner at work. At the lower part of the image it is very dark, but portions of the metal scaffolding are visible. Around the tower are sycamore and oak trees, while at left is the upper section of the historic San Gabriel palm near La Casa Nueva. There are no other identifying features to the artifact, which shows little indcation of wear or damage and is in good condition.
