A photograph of Welch Transfer and Storage, Los Angeles, 1898 The view from a dirt street and shows three horse-drawn conveyances with drivers and employees parked in front of the single-story brick structure which housed the business. Two other men, presumably one being William Welch, the owner, are standing on the walk to the left. A two-story printing office, Morehouse & Co., is next door and a portion of a third building is at the right. On the reverse are two pencil inscriptions: "NEAR 1898 / L.A. CITY HALL" and "Los Angelos [sic]." Aside from slight fading at the right side, the general condition is good.
