Description

WELLS, FARGO AND COMPANY ENVELOPE OF WALTER P. TEMPLE, 13 OCTOBER 1894 Color: Black; Brown; Green; Red; White A Wells, Fargo, and Company express envelope of Walter P. Temple, dated 13 October 1894. The item has green lettering on the front providing Spanish-language information for the recipient, location, date, amount sent, and company agent's signature. At the center are three brown wax seals with a pink string linking them. A stamp in blue ink at the bottom center reads "CHIHUAHUA, MEX." On the reverse is printed information, also in Spanish, about Wells, Fargo's express service. The envelope was opened on the right side, so the seals were not broken, although there has been some losses to the seals. Addtionally, there are creases, some small stains, probably pest samage at the left edge, and paper discoloration, so the overall condition is fair.
