Description

Color: Black; White A photograph of the west elevation of La Casa Nueva, ca. 1932. Taken from the south end of the west lawn, the view shows most of the home from the north end toward about two-thirds of the wing, including the recently added dormitory, where the patio had been. The chimney for the Library fireplace peeks out over the roof. At the base of the house are bushes and shrubs, while at the far left is a portion of the arbor outside the Music Room. In the foreground is much of the lawn and all or part of three of the round adobe planters with shrubbery in them. The photograph has a crinkled edge and there is a rectangular piece at the top with two holes for mounting into a special paper album, which is item 49.2. In good condition overall, the item has only minor reverse discoloration and paper bowing. Number-Units: 1
