2011.77.1.1Description
A cabinet card photograph, "West Side / Mrs. Longstreet's Place," Los Angeles, ca. 1880s. The image appears to have been taken from a road and looks into the elaborate garden, including rough wood planters, cypress trees, palm trees, grasses, and other plantings, though the house is not in view. The title is in a contemporary ink inscription, while a pencil inscription below reads "N of Adams / Bet Grand & Figueroa." With some soiling, stains, mount curvature and edge rubbing, the overall condition is good.
