Description

WHARF IN GENOA DURING AGNES TEMPLE FATJO'S HONEYMOON Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of the wharf in Genoa, Italy, ca. 1930. The dock of the wharf is at the bottom where there are many boats tied or approaching. Many people are lined along the edge of the dock where there is a two-story brick building at the center. To the left of the background is a small structure and to the right is a three-story brick building. On the back is writing in black ink, but due to the missing top left corner only the following is discerned: "...the warf [sic] / ...noa - / Rec'd Feb. 10/30." The photograph was taken during Temple's honeymoon and was housed in her album, which is item 96.7.94.1 along with many other photographs, which span 96.7.1.1-.93.1. Contact sheets 2000.159.1.1-.8 show the original positioning of the images within the album. With tears; water damage; a missing corner; and smearing of the ink at the back, the image is in poor condition. Number-Units: 1
