Description

Color: Black; White "What is Charm?," a pamphlet that accompanied the Mello-Glo suntan powder box, 1928. The item has a photograph of a young woman on the front cover holding her left arm up toward her face and pointing to the arm with her right hand, presumably where the Mello-Glo product was applied. At the lower left, in an oval box, is the title. In the background is an Art Deco-style series of stripes. The back cover is similar, but with the photo reversed. The item explains what Mello-Glo products can do for a woman's beauty and discusses products such as a cocoa butter cleansing cream, skin tone tonic, beauty cream, facial tone powder, rouge, and lipstick. These products were evidently French created and distributed in the United States by Mello-Glo. Aside from paper discoloration, loose center pages, and rust from staples (which were removed), the item is in good condition.
