2012.328.1.1Description
"What Women Buy and Who Makes It in Los Angeles," compiled and published by the Industrial Bureau, Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, ca. 1920s. The item has an essay about profit for goods made in the region and marketed and sold to women with directed sections to financiers, merchants, property owners, wage owners, and parents. Following is a "classified list of commodities" made in the area, organized alphabetically. On the back is the motto: "Los Angeles: Where Nature Helps Industry Most." With missing corners, browning, and soiling on the wrappers and clean pages, the general condition is fair.
