Sheet music special edition of "When It's Springtime in the Rockies," lyrics by Mary Hale Woolsey and music by Robert Sauer and Milt Taggart, published by Villa Moret, Inc. and printed by Pacific Music Press, San Francisco, 1929. The front cover has the title at the top in a white rectangular field and the term "SPECIAL EDITION" above the title. Below and to the right are the composers' names. At the center is a photo image of singer Rudy Vallee and the name of his group is at the lower left. At the bottom is the logo, name, and location of the publisher. The transcription for the "charming waltz" in a "dramily" tempo di valse has a ukulele tuning. On the inside front cover is a symphonic ukulele arrangement sample. On the back cover is a sample transcription of another song offered by the publisher with images of missions at the top and bottom. The name of a former owner is in ink at the top left of the front. In fair condition, the artifact has many creases; much soiling; page browning; covers separated; evidence of pest damage; light stains; several small tears; and general wear.
