Description

Color: White A white cotton vest, ca. 1920s. The piece is almost corduroy-like with horizontal lines on the front, while the back is white silk. The inner lining is white silk with vertical lines of varying thicknesses. The lapel is curved and extends to the button area, where there are three button holes and areas where the buttons should be (there are no buttons on the piece.) On each side of the lower front are pockets. On the lower back is the clasp with two thin strips of cotton and, on one of them, a metal buckle held in by a button. On different parts of the buckle are the words "SOLIDE" and "PARIS." With overall discoloration and some very small stains on the front near the pocket and in the middle of the lining, the vest is in fair condition.
