Description

Color: Sand; White A white glazed encaustic tile called the Tyler, created by Karen J. Patterson, ca. 1998. The piece is symmetrical from all sides and features a cracked white glaze over a sand bisque. In the center is a four-petaled flower with three-end clubs inset in each petal, and four more clubs between each petal exterior. Around this center design is a circular border with diamonds and portions of circular designs with many-petaled flowers on each of the four sides. At the corners are wavy lines with sharp v-cuts. On the back of the tile is a stamp reading, "KJ PATTERSON / CERAMICS." Manufactured with a weathered finish, the tile is sold by Country Floors, Inc. and is in good condition.
