A black and white photograph of William Workman (with his signature), ca. 1870, showing him in a head and shoulders view, and wearing a dark suit and tie with white shirt. This appears to be a reproduction of the photo that was published in 1921 in John Steven McGroarty's From the Mountains to the Sea history of southern California. May have been copied and framed by Thomas W. Temple II. See 94.11.68 and .69 for related items. Donated by Temple L. Fatjo. In poor condition with the left edge curved, sections of tape at the center of both the left and right edges, tears along the left edge, and a bent lower left corner. Written in pencil beneath the portrait is "William Workman"; in the upper left corner, "10"; and near the upper right corner, "30-8".
