Description

Color: Brown; White; Yellow A color photograph of a window in the west side of the La Casa Nueva Library, ca. 1977. The wooden frame is largely hidden in shadow and the sunlight from the outside illuminates the colored panels at the center which depict scenes from Miguel Cervantes' novel, "Don Quixote." The captions beneath the images, however, are hard to make out because of the sunlight and read "Sancho Panza" on the left and "Don Quixote and the windmills." The other four panels at the top and bottom have leaded work creating diamond shapes, though there are occasional sections where the leading was done to create the illusion of breakage and repair. Some landscaping, including trees and their trunks, are vaguely visible through the glass. Other than slight discoloration on the reverse, the object is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
