Postcard: A color New Year's postcard, ca. 1910s. The text is at upper right with an image of an unidentified grove with mountains in the background at left center, bordered in gold and red. In small red lettering at the top of the image is "A midwinter scene." Surrounding the image are holly berries with leaves. There is a light green background. The card was written upon, but not addressed or mailed. Purchased from dealer Jim Reid, the card is in fair condition with discoloration, edge wear, especially on the corners, and minor stains. Text, in pencil: "Dear Godmother/Wishing you/a Merry/Christmas/From Louis."
