Description

Color: Brown; Gold A 389-page plumbing catalog issued by the Wolverine Brass Works, 1924. The hardcover book has a leather-like look with, in gold letters, the word "WOLVERINE" at a 45-degree angle within an embossed border on the front cover. At the upper left are the words "PLUMBERS / BRASS AND / SPECIALITIES" and at the bottom right is the company name and place of business. On the spine is the word "WOLVERINE" and the letter "K" in gold letters. On the first sheet at the front is a label of a previous owner and his signature above and the stamped date of 29 April 1925 on and below the label. Listings of offerings commences on page 6 with adjustable traps and continues with items such as other varieties of traps; plugs; wastes; sleeves; connections; overflows; valves; stops; tubing; pipes; handles; bibbs; faucets; cocks; collars; nuts; fittings; tees; ferrules; covers; clamps; ball cocks; floats; offsets; fixtures; paper holders; towel racks; shower heads; portable showers; filters; plugs; stoppers; washers; sundries; such as adhesives and tools; and other items. Listings include model numbers, dimensions and often have accompanying illustrations. An index is at the back, as well. Item 1.2 is a price list from the catalog. Many pages are adhered together, though some seem separable without damage to the pages. Though there is wear on the cover corners and edges, the overall condition is good.
