"Woman's Home Companion," July 1928, published by The Crowell Publishing Company, Chicago. The 122-page artifact has the title at the top of the front cover with the issue date and price just below and on either side. A large image of children playing on the beach and underneath a red and white striped umbrella covers most of the space and the publisher's name is at the bottom. At the bottom right is the mailing label for the recipient. Contents include fiction; special articles on such topics as the radio, marriage, and weight; handicraft and embroidery; children's sections; food; recreation; gardening; fashion; etiquette; interior furnishing; and others. Illustrations include some photographs and black and white and color drawings. Many advertisements are throughout. In fair condition, the artifact's cover is nearly separated and there are cover creases, soiling, folds, stains, and tears, though the pages are fine.Lexicon
