Dress - woman's three-piece ensemble; a) dress - black velvet, 3/4 length puffed sleeves, pads in sleeves, 1 1/3" sheering on each shoulder, 3 darts in neck back, V neck, 7 gored skirt, 8" zipper opening on left side, ribbon strips on inside of shoulders to hold slip straps, 2 1/2" shirring, 2 pleats at each side of waist front and back; b) hat - pillbox, black velvet, black taffeta lining; c) capelet - black velvet, semi-circular, on front of either side three 6" stitched down pleats, left side 3 button loops.Lexicon
