"Women of the West," edited by Max Binheim (Los Angeles: Publishers Press,) 1928. The 223-page book, printed by Wetzel Publishing Company, is hardcover and has the title and edition in gold letters on the front cover and spine, though the latter also has the publisher's name. Comments and previews of the books are at the beginning, followed by the table of contents. Sections are for the several western states and include short biographical sketches on women in each state--some focus on government, service, associations, music, and other fields. There are some illustrations for each state and an alphabetical index at the end. Among the listings is Frances Widney Workman, wife of Boyle Workman. There is a pencil inscription on the inside of the front cover from 1938. In good condition, the book has a dented corner, light soiling on the cover, some minor fading of lettering on the cover and spine, light discoloration to some pages, and some abrasions to the edges.Lexicon
