Description
A photo of a group of women taken at the Workman Homestead, California in 1912. A group of eight women are playing a game of what appears to be croquet based on the look of their clubs. The women all wear long skirts and long sleeved blouses with chignon hairstyles. The group plays in a grassy field. The background shows a row of trees and a pitched roof structure at the far left. The land once belonged to William Workman and was formerly known as Rancho la Puente. With warping, moderate fading, discoloration, stains from adhesive residue on the back, the object is in fair condition.
