Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of the Workman family home in Clifton, England, ca. 1880s. The two-story home is across the back center capped by a wood shingled roof. Sash windows line the second floor, and a person leans out an opened window on the far right, though it is not clear whether the person is a male or female. There are windows on the first floor and two porches, in the center and far left, with roofs and two columns at each. In front of the home is a small yard with a path leading to the center porch, trees, bushes, and what looks like an iron fence. Two children appear to be sitting on top of the fence at center. Across the foreground is a hedge. In front of this at center, and standing on a lawn, is a woman wearing a long dress and a hat. This was the childhood home of William Workman and his family. The image has no signs of wear or handling and is therefore in mint condition. Number-Units: 1
