Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of the Workman House basement center room, December 2000. The camera was positioned at the far east side of the room looking west. At the left is an adobe wall and a vent nearest the foreground. Near the back and along the wall is a staircase to the porch. The wall at the right is mostly obstructed by stacks of adobe bricks, like those used for the walkway at the front and back of the home. At the back is cement block wall of which only a vent that is clearly defined by sunlight is visible. The joists for the first floor are above. The floor is concrete. The photograph, that was part of the Historic American Buildings Survey and was funded by the museum's Getty Grant, is in mint condition. Number-Units: 1
