Description

Color: Black and white A black and white photograph of the Workman House basement, east end, south side, taken by Max van Balgooy, January 1993. At the right is part of the southern bearing wall with, at bottom right, portions of river rock or boulders, and, above this at upper right, a portion of the adobe, while some whitewashed plaster is toward the center. Next to the wall are, at the back, a pile of adobe bricks, many of which came from the home's eastern wall, which collapsed in 1977, as well as some clay pots. Wooden support posts, joists, and beams, as well as some plumbing pipes are seen toward the top. Suspended from one of the beams is a wooden yoke. The image is in mint condition. Number-Units: 1
