Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of the Workman House basement east side, December 2000. The wall at the right is of adobe, and part of a vent is near the top closest to the camera. Many adobe bricks, like those used for the walkway at the front and back of the home, are stacked in front of the brick wall at the left. A door that leads to the northern part of the basement is at the foreground. Many stacks of original adobe bricks from the east wall of the house are stacked at the back of the room. Several floor joists for the porch above and wiring, piping, and a light are mounted on these joists. The photograph, that was part of the Historic American Buildings Survey and was funded by the museum's Getty Grant, is in mint condition.
