Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of the Workman House basement southwest room, December 2000. The camera looks towards the northeast corner where the bottom of the stairs to the porch are partially visible behind a brick wall. This east wall, that is at the right, has a vent at the top far right. Another brick wall, the north wall, is at the center of the back and looks deteriorated. At the left of this is a doorway that leads to the center room, and at the far left are shelves stacked with the wood shutters that were on the home's windows. The floor is brick and the joists for the first floor are above. The photograph, that was part of the Historic American Buildings Survey and was funded by the museum's Getty Grant, is in mint condition. Number-Units: 1
