Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of the Workman House, ca. 1922. Taken from the north on the driveway that divides into two paths around the side of the home, the north elevation of the house is shown. The porch has wood arches and faces at the balusters. It appears to have been painted in dark colors as trim at the quoins and windows. Ivy covers much of the northeast wing. In the foreground is a chicken-wire fence with thin ball-topped posts, in front of which are small shrubs. Between the fence and the house are some small palms and other small trees as well as a lawn and sidewalk. Close to the house is a vine on a trellis that may be the Lady Banks' rose that grows there now. On the reverse upper center in pencil is the inscription "This size", while at the lower right is a stamped number "43." With the lower left corner torn; creases; and many stains, smears and overall discoloration, the artifact is in fair condition. Number-Units: 1
