Description

WORKMAN HOUSE EAST SIDE, REMNANT OF ORIGINAL ADOBE WALL. Color: Brown A color polaroid photograph of the remnant of the original adobe wall at the Workman House after the collapse of most of the wall, ca. May 1977. The remnant is mainly the lower two-thirds of the photograph and the adobe appeared to have been heavily saturated with water. Toward the top of the section is a hole, possibly where a pipe was threaded through the wall. Above the wall is the gap where the rest of the wall had shattered. A man is kneeling and facing the camera at right and a table or some other wooden object is at center. A white pipe appears to emerge from the top of the extant adobe and go into the house. At the bottom of the artifact is a pencil inscription reading "East Wall - Workman House." In good condition, the object shows little indication of wear or damage. Number-Units: 1
